The Company’s CSR strategy is focused on three key pillars; human capital development, economic empowerment and skills acquisition. The Company supports projects and initiatives that fit these criteria where they benefit both the host community, as well as communities across the country.

First Hydrocarbon Nigeria separates Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from Community Relations, ensuring that the needs of the community are addressed directly to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

First Hydrocarbon Nigeria is dedicated to the development of the Company’s host communities, so, take a strategic approach to project development alongside community representatives. Our approach ensures that the communities are involved in the process of project identification & development through the completion of a ‘needs assessment’ carried out by both the community and the Company. These assessments evolve into community development plans that provide a 3 to 5-year road map for the projects, which are closely monitored and audited by external consultants.
